Everlost Summary
The book I am reading is titled “Everlost.” I was really fascinated by this part of the reading. One part that is interesting is how the children in the story are still wearing the cloths that they died in. I thought that was a strange idea that people from the “Everlost,” would always be in the same clothing. That has to be weird for the characters Allie and Nick. They both probably spent most of their time changing cloths or picking out outfits to wear to the mall or to parties. Now the cloths they were wearing were the going to on them for the rest of eternity. So far in the book I do not know if that will change as they move from the “Everlost,” to another place for the non living. If I were Allie or Nick I would want to wear my best shirt and jeans since it was going to be on me for eternity.
Another fascinating part of this reading was the idea that in the “Everlost,” the non-living could cross over and get things from the living. This caught my attention because a boy named Speedo was able to get a birthday cake from the living world. It seems that if something is made with love and care then is destroyed it can cross over to the “Everlost.” The cake was made for a girl named Suzie’s 5 year old birthday party. When Suzie tried to pull the cake down to her so she could have some frosting, the cake fell and was totally messed up. Since the cake was destroyed Speedo had a chance to take it to the “Everlost.”

Everlost Summary
The book I am reading is called “Everlost.” So far this book is fascinating. In the beginning of the book the main character Allie is riding in a car with her father when there is a sudden accident. She is thrown through the car window and collides with a boy that smells like chocolate. That boy’s name is Nick. While this is happening another boy Lief, who is playing in the nearby forest, hears the crash and goes over to see the damage. After seeing the damage Lief finds Allie and Nick on the ground knocked out. After a long time he finally wakes Allie up, then Nick wakes up also. They are both very concerned about the accident and want to go to the road to see if anyone is still there. Lief walks them up to the top of a cliff where they can get to the road. The road is cleared and they cannot really see where the accident took place. Both Allie and Nick want to get help. Allie and Nick tried to wave at drivers passing in their cars on the road. Unfortunately no one stopped for them. Allie even tried to get a Greyhound bus driver’s attention. She walked out in the middle of the road, when the bus got close she tried to jump out of the way. Instead of getting out of the way she ended up getting hit by the bus and going all the way through it. At this point in the book Allie and Nick understand that they are not living. It was also peculiar when Lief tells Allie and Nick that they had not been alive for 272 days or 9 months.
So far this book is interesting. At the beginning I thought it was strange that Allie would collide with Nick during the car accident. I was thinking that when they would wake up both would play with Lief for a while then go home. I did not even think that the children in the book were not alive. I was really surprised when I read that it was 9 months since they passed. The whole time Lief was trying to wake Allie and Nick up.

Hatchet Summary
After reading the next chapter of the book “Hatchet,” I am amazed at how Brian was able to survive. First, Brian had survived a plane crash. He had to deal with the pilot of the bushplane having a heart attack then appearing to die while the plane was still in the air. When this happened he was forced to fly the plane. Due to the pilots issues the plane flew off course. Now Brian had to land the plane without hurting himself or the plane to severely. Second, he was forced to sleep in very cold weather. After the plane crash landed in a lake in the woods he needed to get out and save himself before the plane sank into the lake. Brian had to pull himself up the shore and sleep outside in the forest.
Next, he had to deal with mosquitoes biting him. The next morning Brian woke up and was attack by a swarm of mosquitoes and insects. He was bitten so much that he did not have enough clothing to cover his body from the attack. Another thing that happened was Brian needed to deal with not having food. He spent the whole part of the chapters that I read hungry and looking for food. Brain also spent time trying to get shelter. He had a small pocket knife that he used to cut brush and small trees to protect him from the cold.
